We get it — there’s so much to see and your adrenaline is probably already kicking in. Totally normal, because an unforgettable adventure awaits you today!
But before you dive in, make sure to check in at the registration tent first. We’ll scan your ticket and give you a wristband. This shows which distance you’re running, gives you access to the course at the right time, and means you won’t have to show your ticket again anywhere else!
It’s a good idea to bring a few things to Strong Viking — like a towel for after rinsing off and clean clothes to change into. And your phone? It’s better to leave it behind (trust us, we really don’t recommend bringing it…).
Luckily, you can safely leave your belongings at our bag drop (there are no lockers available). You’ll receive a wristband, so you can easily pick everything up later. Super convenient!
Strong Viking is not a race, it’s a personal challenge! It’s all about pushing your own limits, having fun, and testing your perseverance, endurance, and strength. There are no obligations — if you’d prefer to skip an obstacle, that’s totally fine.
Looking for more of a race aspect? Then sign up for the OCR Series.
No matter which distance you choose, you don’t have to run it all in one go. Along the way, you’ll encounter tons of fun obstacles that you’ll need to conquer! This means you’ll be running shorter sections at a time, making the distance much more manageable.

During the run, you’ll regularly come across aid stations. What you get along the way depends on the distance you choose. No cheese platters or cappuccinos, but exactly what you need to avoid ending up in a ditch from hunger.
Running 4 km? You’ll find one refreshment station along the way with water, squash, and wine gums. Going for 7 km? You’ll pass two refreshment stations stocked with water and wine gums. On the 13 km route, you’ll come across three stations offering water and wine gums — and at some of them, energy gels too. Taking on the full 19 km? You’ll hit no less than four refreshment stations, spread out along the course. There you’ll find water, wine gums, energy gels, bananas, and protein bars.
During Strong Viking, you’ll encounter a lot of mud. A LOT of mud.
To avoid getting back into your car (or on your bike) covered in mud, you can rinse off after your run in the rinse-off areas. These areas are not intended for washing your hair, shaving your legs, or having an extensive hammam session. You can do that when you’re back home!
If you’re participating in Strong Viking for the first time, you won’t receive a medal yet. After 2 runs, you’ll receive your first medal, after 4 runs your second medal, after 6 runs your third medal, and so on. Of course, you will receive a super cool limited edition T-shirt after each obstacle run! For more information about the Medals for Life, check out the medal page.
After the run, there’s nothing better than taking off your Obstacle Run clothing and putting on your dry, clean clothes. You can easily do this in our separate changing rooms for men and women. Just make sure to get the mud out of your clothes as soon as you’re home. That way, your Strong Viking outfit will be ready for a few more rounds!
